For dinner last night, I made the most delectable beef stew. It was so easy to put together and came out fabulous.
I'm working on finding a way to make recipes printable on my blog, but for now here it is.
September's Slow Cooker Beef Stew
2 lbs beef stew meat, cut into 1" cubes
1 tsp sea salt
1 tsp black pepper
1 medium onion, finely chopped
2 stalks celery, sliced
3 cloves garlic, minced
14 oz can tomato sauce
3 cups water
4 beef bouillon cubes
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 bay leaves
2 cups baby carrots
5 red potatoes, cut into 1" cubes
1 tablespoon dried parsley
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 cup frozen peas
1 cup frozen corn
1. Combine beef, salt, pepper, onion, celery, garlic, tomato sauce, water, bouillon cubes, Worcestershire sauce, bay leaves, carrots, potatoes, parsley and oregano in crock pot. Cook on low for 10 hours or high for 6 hours.
2. About 30 minutes before serving, toss in peas and corn. If you wish, at this point, you can mix 1/4 cup flour and 1/4 cup water into a slurry and add to pot. This will thicken the stew a bit.
Bon Appetit!
