My husband Steven and I have been married for over 33 years, and we have a son, Josh who will be 31 this year. We also have an amazing granddaughter, Ella.
By day, I do Document Control and Technical Writing for a very large medical company here in San Jose.
I am a Certified Instructor for Soul Restoration, and am very happy to provide you with tools to help heal your past and look forward to a brighter future. Using the Soul Restoration curriculum, I can provide you with the tools to live a fuller, more beautiful life.
When I'm not at work, you can find me riding my recumbent exercise bike, quilting, using my VR headset (Quest 3) or creating art.
- After my cardiac arrest, I started riding a recumbent exercise bike, I started out with 5 minutes a day. That was over 4 years ago. Now I ride about 45 minutes a day, most days of the week.
- I started quilting in 1979. I was dating a man whose mom made the most amazing quilts. I had been sewing for almost 12 years by then, and I had to learn how! I fell in love with the craft and have never looked back. I can't believe I've been doing this for so long! I've made so many quilts. I have SO many flimsies (quilt tops) just begging to be finished, and not enough time (for now) to finish them!
- I never expected to be a gamer, and I didn't set out to be one, but here we are! I saw a Facebook ad for the Meta Oculus Quest 2, and I saw someone using an app called VZFit, riding a bike through some beautiful areas of the world. I was hooked! I bought one and the rest is history. Now I use it for so much more than just biking!
- I am a budding artist. My Dad was an artist and started me drawing and painting when I was about 8. I actually also have drawings that my Mom saved from when I was 3 or so. I have also been embroidering and hand sewing since I was 4. At 8, I learned to use a sewing machine and made my first dress. I have won contests and made many of my own clothes since then.
- When I was 16, I took photography in high school. The rest is history! I am a semi-pro photographer, having sold photos and also been employed, during college, as a children's photographer. Someday, I'd like the opportunity to shoot a wedding, but for now, I mostly shoot landscapes and flowers. Photography takes me to a place where nothing else matters, except my next subject.
